Well, back then I was living Florida and unemployed so I had time on my hands, but no money. I was surfing on one of those NetZero accounts with the adbar at the bottom. I had a free subscription to Fast Company (don't ask me how or why cos I don't remember) and they mentioned meemepool, which was pretty cool. I did a Netsacpe 'What's Related?" search and the rest is history as they say
wedding midlife crisis
The midlife crisis thread I did in MeTa was great in that it showed that this was a community of people who cared about eachother, not just a play ground. and of course, the happiest day of my life, my wedding, where I was surrounded by my mefite brethren and sistren.
(and of course there's all the free shit that's been sent to me: beer, chips, harmonicas, CD's...it's all good)
